  23. --  4. TOOL DESCRIPTION : A device independent software package is developed
  24. --    which implements the draft GKS binding to ANSI Ada for GKS levels Ma, Oa,
  25. --    1a, 2a, Mb, Ob, 1b, Mc, and 1c.  The contractor will strive to maintain
  26. --    compatibility with the GKS Binding as the draft matures. GKS/Ada will
  27. --    support selective visibility, independent VDI and VDM interfaces, the
  28. --    configuration of multiple graphic device drivers, and independent
  29. --    packaging of the various GKS levels.
  30. --            A prototype metafile generator/driver, and a metafile
  31. --    interpreter will be developed and demonstrated with a test case metafile.
  32. --            Device-dependent software will be developed to drive the
  33. --    Lexidata color rastor device and the Summagraphics graphics tablet.
  34. --            The contour processing requirements for key DOD missions
  35. --    will be defined.  Ada software will be developed to support these
  36. --    requirements, including grid generation, mathematical interpolation, and
  37. --    contour map generation.
  38. --            Select and provide for delivery of WIS-compatible
  39. --    equipment capable of producing high quality 35mm color slides directly
  40. --    from graphics displays( by 01 MAR 85).
